Engadin Scuol

The Swiss National Park, the Tarasp Castle landmark, Engadine Spa Scuol with the first Roman-Irish bath in Switzerland and real Engadine holiday villages with unmistakable Romansh culture shape the characteristics of the Lower Engadine. But maybe you are here for the varied skiing area which stretches from the vantage point on Motta Naluns (2146 m) to the villages of Scuol (1250 m), Ftan (1650 m) and Sent (1440 m) and the highest point Champatsch (2785 m) opposite the Lower Engadine Dolomites. Maybe because of the cross-country skiing courses, the numerous winter hiking and sledge runs or to go on the snowshoe tours.

The region of the Grisons

The region of the Grisons is known for its authenticity and the diversity of its offers. In order to document the common origin and the demands of quality, the sectors of holiday and leisure time, products, economy, transport, culture and education are united under one roof. The visual sign is the logo of "Graubünden" with the ibex symbol "Capricorn". Whoever hears the name of the Grisons first of all thinks of mountains and snow - and maybe of holidays. If someone looks more detailed into the canton of the Grisons, he or she will automatically discover the diversity of this mountain canton. The characteristics of the largest canton of Switzerland have many different faces: the long history of settlement, the centuries-old and formative situation as a country full of passes and the trilingualism which is and has always been an important political and social factor.

On the local level the diversity of the Grisons is reflected in the traditional customs. But also the "mountain constructions" as for example the old castles of the Middle Age, the sgraffito houses and the modern bridges which are integrated into the landscape in a nice way can be fascinating for the visitors.
